*Sandman's Magic, HOMOZYGOUS for curls, sport-type Curly stallion - full ABC, ICHO and CSI. *Sandman has been inspected with the ICHO, receiving very high scores and he is now included in the NACHIP approved stud book. *Sandman has had many many foals and ALL have been Curlies - many of these foals have been from smooth coated Curlies mares and non-curly mares. No matter what mare you use, *Sandman will put a little Curly in your world!
What a journey we have been on so far with *Sandman! He came to us as a long yearling and now as a mature stallion he has proven himself worthy to have his frozen semen offered to customers in both Europe and Australia!
We realized in advance that this needed to be planned for and carried out carefully and with a lot of preparation. With that in mind, in the summer of 2007 we had a preliminary test freeze done of *Sandman's semen and it looked good upon thawing, that was the first step.
In the spring of 2008 we successfully used the frozen semen to impregnate one of our own mares, Cordova True Colours (pictured here) and in the spring of 2009, she delivered this amazing colt - he is the proof that the frozen semen is viable! And wow what an incredible way to prove it!
August 2008 - on to the next step! *Sandman entered quarantine at the fine facility of the Okanagan Equine Veterinary Service. This facility is owned and operated by Sheila MacDonald. Sheila is an equine reproductive expert and she raises TB's herself. The facility has been inspected and approved by the Canadian Federal Vet.

Here is a picture of the Okanagan Equine office. It is a very fine facility and a veterinary service that we have used for many years. We are very confident in the service and expertise of the professionals there.
